Noise Exposure in the Cab

Noise Exposure in the Cab

The constant hums, vibrations, and clamour inside earthmoving machines may seem like part of the job, but the impact of noise on an operator's health should not be underestimated. Prolonged exposure to high noise levels within these vehicles can lead to missed communication, increased accidents, reduced productivity not to mention serious health issues.

Beyond immediate discomfort, persistent noise exposure may contribute to long-term health concerns such as hearing loss. The ears are particularly susceptible to damage from the loud, consistent sounds generated by earthmoving equipment.

To mitigate these risks, companies provide PPE along with implementing regular health assessments such is the importance of noise management for both short-term comfort and long-term health.

These are important measures.

But wouldn't it make sense to also tackle this issue closer to the source?

At MMT, we are experts in reducing cab noise through soundproofing vehicles. Our soundproofing service involves stripping the cab, installing Dynamat sound absorption material and sound foam which has been shown to reduce the noise by up to 50%.

If you need to drastically reduce the noise in your Cab, then give us a call.
