Port Hedland Thriving
Twelve months ago we reported that Western Australia’s (WA) mineral and petroleum industry reported record sales of more than $127 billion which eclipsed the previous calendar year record.
The last period has recorded an approximate 28 per cent increase to 167.3 billion which is reflected in the forward plans laid out by places such as Port Hedland, particularly focused on it’s ports.
Port Hedland is one of the world's largest bulk export ports, responsible for much of the state's iron ore exports, which has increased significantly over recent years.
Tony Mobilia of Modern Motor Trimmers says “it’s quite noticeable the activity in the area, you can just feel the excitement of what’s happening at the moment, and importantly of what’s to come”.
