Protect your Cylinders

Being in and around the Mining and Construction industry for so long, we’ve heard hundreds of stories where rocks and other flying debris have damaged hydraulic cylinders on excavators and dozers and other capital equipment.
Impact Damage is where a rock or debris is propelled towards the hydraulic cylinders with enough force, it can cause direct impact damage. This impact can dent or deform the cylinder body, piston, or rod, compromising their structural integrity and reducing the efficiency of the hydraulic system.
That is the obvious one we think of.
But what about small particles and the constant friction between the rocks and the hydraulic cylinders' surfaces leading to wear and tear, gradually eroding the protective coatings and causing damage to the cylinder components. What about other forms of contaminants having direct access to the cylinders? Wouldn’t this lead to accelerated wear and potential damage to the seals, pistons, and other sensitive components within the cylinders.
Australia's tough conditions can result in many problems for heavy machinery, but we ensure our covers are made to the highest quality. We have a selection of materials to choose from including PVC, Nylon and Kevlar. Our materials are high quality, durable and resistant to dust, dirt, water, heat, chemicals and harsh abrasions.
To mitigate these risks, it is prudent to employ the use of RAM Covers from MMT.
Using this simple protective measure can help minimise the impact of rocks on hydraulic cylinders, preserving the integrity and longevity of the equipment and in turn saving you significant money.
